Woolley makes four saves
BALTIMORE, Md. – Johns Hopkins scored just 7:58 into the game en route to a 5-0 Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer victory over McDaniel on Wednesday.
Erica Diffendal (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) registered the lone shot of the game for the Green Terror (6-10-1, 1-7-1 CC), who were playing a nationally-ranked opponent for the first time this season.
Hannah Kronick tallied twice for the 24th-rnaked Blue Jays (13-3-1, 8-1 CC), who kept pace for the top spot in the CC tournament and set up a showdown with Gettysburg on Saturday for hosting rights.
Kronick opened her day with an assist, finding Sydney Teng for a one-time shot in the eighth minute.
Exactly 18 minutes later, Hope Lundberg rocketed a shot off a corner to the far post for her first of the season.
Kronick got into the goal column in the 63rd minute on a volley from six yards out.
Taylor Schulte netted a free kick from 20 yards out in the 73rd minute before Kronick capped the scoring just over nine minutes later.
Johns Hopkins finished with a 22-1 advantage in shots and 6-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Green Terror concludes the season at Washington (Md.) on Saturday. Game time is 4 p.m.
