Woolley makes season-best 15 saves
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore scored a pair of second-half goals to defeat McDaniel 2-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.
Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) made a season-best 15 saves for the Green Terror (2-10, 1-5 CC), 10 of which came after halftime.
The Garnet (8-5, 4-3 CC) finished the game with a 34-7 advantage in shots, including outshooting McDaniel 20-2 in the second half.
After a scoreless first half, Megan Brock dented the scoreboard in the 50th minute, one-touching a rocket over the keeper's head off a short pass from Alyssa Bowie.
Mariam Vonderheide rebounded her own miss for a 2-0 lead nearly 15 minutes later.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Gettysburg on Wednesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
