Hurst stops drought

McDaniel tops Washington, 1-0

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Rachael Hurst (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) scored the lone goal of the game, lifting McDaniel to a 1-0 Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer victory over Washington (Md.) on Saturday.

The Green Terror (3-8-3, 2-6 CC) scored its first goal in five game, snapping a seven-game winless streak in the process.

Tori Ripple made four saves for the Shorewomen (4-9-1, 0-8 CC), who finished with a 21-9 advantage in shots.

Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) made 12 stops in goal for McDaniel.

At the 8:12 mark, Hurst netted her first goal of the season to propel the Green Terror to the win.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Johns Hopkins on Wednesday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
