BRYN MAWR, Pa. –Brittany Baer (Westminster, Md./Westminster) and Tia Scott (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) each recorded a goal and assist in McDaniel’s 2-1 win at Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) women’s soccer action on Saturday.
Sydni Meyer tallied the lone goal for the Owls
(4-4-1, 0-2 CC), who held a slim 12-11 advantage in
shots.
Leanne Hollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill)
made seven saves in goal for the Green Terror (4-5, 1-1 CC), who
won back-to-back games for the first time since the end of the 2006
season.
After a scoreless first half, Baer finished a Scott feed one minute
into the second half.
Meyer knotted the game just 1 minute, 17 seconds later off an
Akua Nyame-Mensah assist.
With 5:10 to play, Scott returned the favor for Baer, converting
the game-winner.
Collette Pullion made four saves for Bryn
Mawr.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Juniata on
Tuesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
