Camlin wins by fall

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming won four straight bouts to overcome an 11-7 deficit and defeat McDaniel 22-17 in non-conference wrestling action on Wednesday.

Joe Camlin (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) led the Green Terror (0-1) with a 6-minute, 11-second pin at heavyweight.

Russel Korbul led the Warriors (1-0) with a match-clinching fall at 197, winning in 4:04.

After Brent Lowe (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) notched a 17-0 technical fall at 157 to put McDaniel on top 11-7 just 2:05 into his match, Greg Wetzel started a four-bout string of victories.

Wetzel won 6-3 at 165 before Joshua Gochnauer put the hosts on top for good with a 4-1 decision.

Johnathan Secor stretched the lead to 16-7 with an 8-4 win at 184 before Korbul sealed the victory.

Mike O'Boyle (North Reading, Mass./North Reading) and Mike Tancredi (Wall, N.J./Wall Twp.) opened up a 6-0 lead in the match with wins by 6-1 and 5-4, respectively.

Caleb Willey trimmed the deficit to 6-4 on a 12-1 victory at 141 before Lucas Wisniewski made it a 7-6 match with a 3-1 victory.

The Green Terror returns to action at the Ursinus Fall Brawl on Saturday.
