McDaniel finishes fifth at Waynesburg Invitational

WAYNESBURG, Pa. – Brock Glotfelty (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett) improved to a perfect 20-0 on the season with two pins to lead McDaniel to a fifth-place finish at the Waynesburg Invitational in wrestling action on Saturday.

With his three victories, Glotfelty joins Charlie Conaway atop the Green Terror's all-time wins list with 112 career victories. The senior heavyweight's first two wins of the day were his ninth and 10th pins of the season before recording an 8-1 win in the title bout to tie the record.

After an opening-round bye, Glotfelty notched a 1-minute, 5-second fall of Gettysburg's Branden Strohl before toppling the Bullets' Kevin Poplaski in 1:01. He downed Waynesburg's Brandon Fedorka in his 132nd career match.

As a team, McDaniel finished fifth with 80.5 points with only three of its usual starters in action.
