Delaware Valley shuts out McDaniel
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Led by a 30-second pin from Dale Fava, third-ranked Delaware Valley downed McDaniel 52-0 in non-conference wrestling action on Friday.
The Aggies (11-1-1) recorded seven pins in the match to shut out
the Green Terror (6-9), who had won their last three matches but
fell to its third ranked opponent this season.
Delaware Valley opened the match with four straight pins – a
stretch that was capped by Fava’s 30-second fall at
149.
Zach Hetrick (Hanover, Pa./South Western) came the
closest to victory, falling 3-2 to Justin Barowski
at 165.
Brock Glotfelty (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett)
saw his season-opening 23-match winning streak come to an end at
heavyweight, falling 6-3 to Kyle Bilquist, who was
ranked second at heavyweight in the latest Brute-Adidas Division
III individual rankings.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Messiah Open on Saturday.
