Glotfelty wins at heavyweight to lead McDaniel at Citrus Invitational

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Brock Glotfelty (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett) went 4-0 to remain undefeated on the season and win at heavyweight and lead McDaniel to a 10th-place showing at the Citrus Open in non-conference wrestling action on Monday.

Glotfelty improved to 17-0 on the season and captured his third individual tournament title of the season. The Green Terror finished 10th out the 11 teams competiting with 39 points. No. 11 Cornell College won the title with 152.5 points.
Glotfelty, the top seed, opened his day with a first-period pin of Ursinus’ Fernando Jones before notching victories of 4-1 and 6-0 to advance to the championship bout where he defeated the No. 2 seed Adam Salvers (Wilmington) 2-1 in the tiebreaker period.
