READING, Pa. – Albright scored the final 10 goals of the first half to open up an 11-2 lead en route to a 17-9 victory over McDaniel in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Thursday.
Olivia Geiger (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) led the Green Terror (3-2) with three goals.
Kelly Bauman paced the Lions (3-2) with nine goals and two assists.
Scoreless for the first 11 minutes of the game, Geiger broke through with the contest's first tally at the 18:40 mark before Bauman responded just over five minutes later with her first of the day.
Another Geiger tally with 12:21 on the clock gave the visitors a 2-1 edge before Tristan Konen finished a Bauman pass and started a run of 10 goals over the final 11:59 of the first half.
Konen added two more goals during the run while Bauman chipped in three.
Goals from Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldsfield) and Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) in the first 1:51 of the second half trimmed the deficit to 11-4 but four more goals from Bauman over a 14-minute, 1-second span stretched the lead to 15-5 with 11:19 to play.
Two Megan Kotelchuck (Crofton, Md./Elizabeth Seton) markers around Bauman's ninth goal made it a 16-8 game with 2:38 to play.
Abby Blankenship (Urbana, Va./Christchurch) and Sophie Bass traded goals in the final 23 seconds to set the final score.
Farrell added four draw controls and two ground balls.
The Green Terror returns to action at Montclair on Tuesday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
