OWINGS MILLS, Md. – McDaniel scored six of the game's final seven goals to overcome a 10-6 deficit and defeat Stevenson 12-11 in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Wednesday.

Megan Kotelchuck (Crofton, Md./Elizabeth Seton) led the Green Terror (1-0) in its opener with three goals and an assist.

Lindsay Seipp paced the Mustangs (0-2) with two goals and an assist.

Trailing 10-6, Mary Kate Clothier (Lumberton, N.J./Holy Cross Academy) tallied her first collegiate goal on a free-position shot with 21:34 remaining in the second half.

Solo runs from Megan Quattrone (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) and Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldfields) in the next 32 seconds close the margin to 10-9 and forced a Stevenson timeout.

Quattrone won the ensuing draw – one of 19 wins for the Green Terror on the day – and Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) finished an unassisted tally for her second of the game, knotting the game at 10-all.

Mallory Davila converted from the 8-meter arc with 14:35 remaining to put the hosts back in front.

Kotelchuck, however, found Annemarie Duerr (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) to draw the game even once again with 11:57 showing.

Just 39 seconds later, Brownawell hit Olivia Geiger (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge), who finished the game-winner.

Stevenson jumped out to a 4-2 lead through the first 15:52 before Farrell, Kotelchuck and Brownawell all scored in fewer than five minutes to put McDaniel in front for the first time, 5-4.

Three straight Mustang tallies made it a 7-5 game before Kotelchuck scored with 38 ticks remaining to close the deficit to one at the break.

Stevenson scored three times in the first 5:35 of the second half to push the lead out to four.

Brownawell finished with two goals and two assists while Quattrone joined Farrell with two goals and an assist. Farrell and Geiger won seven draws apiece.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday. Game time is 2 p.m.
