Weather forces time change

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Due to the forecast for possible severe weather, McDaniel has announced that the start time for its Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse first-round game against Muhlenberg has been changed.

The game, which was originally slated to begin at 7 p.m., will now begin at 4 p.m.

The fourth-seeded Green Terror (9-7, 5-4 CC) faces the fifth-seeded Mules (10-6, 4-5 CC) with the winner advancing to Saturday's semifinals at Gettysburg.

Gettysburg (14-2, 8-1 CC), ranked No. 7 in the latest IWLCA Division III coaches poll, will host Wednesday's winner in the day's first semifinal to begin at 1 p.m. Franklin & Marshall (14-4, 8-1 CC), ranked sixth in the same poll, will face Washington (11-4, 7-2 CC) in the day's other semifinal not before 3:30 p.m. or 45 minutes following the conclusion of the day's first semifinal.

The semifinal winners will advance to Sunday's championship game, which will begin at 1 p.m.

The tournament's champion will earn the CC's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division III tournament, slated to begin on May 8. The NCAA field will be announced on Sunday at 9:30 p.m.

The Green Terror is seeking its first conference title. It is the second straight tournament appearance for McDaniel.
