WESTMINSTER, Md. – Paige Messersmith (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney), a senior on the McDaniel women's lacrosse team, earned a pair of second-team All-America honors on Thursday.

The consensus All-American was tabbed to the second team by Synapse Sports as well as the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

A first-team All-Centennial Conference (CC) and first-team IWLCA All-Metro nod, the midfielder earns her first All-America honors. Starting all 18 games, Messersmith leads the team with 89 draw controls on the season to give her 295 for her career – the most in program and conference history. She also has team highs in ground balls (52) and caused turnovers (26). Messersmith currently ranks second on the squad with 42 goals and 59 points while leading the way with 17 assists.
