LANCASTER, Pa. – Brittany Baer (Manchester, Md./Westminster), a senior on the McDaniel women’s lacrosse team, has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Apr. 12-18.
Baer tallied 12 times to lead the Green Terror (9-5, 3-4 CC) to a pair of wins in two critical conference games.
In Tuesday’s 18-12 win over Washington (Md.), Baer recorded six goals. Her second tally of the game was the 179th of her career, breaking Sandi Stevens’ 21-year-old program record for goals in a career.
On Saturday, Baer added another six markers to lead McDaniel in a 13-12 double-overtime victory over Haverford.
In addition to her 12 goals, she added six caused turnovers and six ground balls on the week. She also had 11 draw controls to give her 60 for the season, tying her own program record for a single season.
For the season, she has 50 goals and 58 points to lead the team in both categories.
The Green Terror returns to action at Dickinson on Wednesday. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
