Two earn All-CC women’s basketball honors

LANCASTER, Pa. – Two members of the McDaniel women's basketball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Tuesday.

Steph Perez (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) was named to the first team while Allie Eader (Ijamsville, Md./Linganore) was tabbed honorable mention.

Perez also earned the conference's scholar-athlete award with her 4.0 grade-point average in graphic design.

Perez, a junior guard, is making her second all-conference appearance after being tabbed an honorable mention as a freshman. She currently leads the team and ranks fourth in the conference in scoring at 12.3 points per game. She also leads the team with a single-season program-record 60 3-pointers, claiming the program record with 149 career triples in the process. She has started 24 of the 25 games this season, recording 99 rebounds, 37 assists and 15 steals.

Eader, a senior guard, leads the lead with 62 assists, starting 23 of the 24 games in which she has played this season. She also ranks third on the team with 35 steals. She is averaging 3.0 points per game and 2.2 rebounds per contest.

The Green Terror (19-6, 14-4 CC) returns to action at home against Delaware Valley in the first round of the ECAC South tournament on Wednesday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
