WESTMINSTER, Md. – After watching McDaniel erase a 13-point deficit and take a 37-35 lead, Haverford rebounded with 11 of the next 12 points en route to a 50-46 Centennial Conference (CC) women's basketball victory on Saturday.

Rachael Rybak (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) was the only player to reach double figures for the Green Terror (9-12, 6-10 CC), tallying 18 points. Steph Perez (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) and Brittney Davis (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) added eight points each. Davis chipped in six assists and four steals.

Dominique Meeks led the Fords (13-7, 10-6 CC) with 11 points and seven rebounds while Nina Voith added 10 points.

Trailing by as many as 13 in the first half, Davis hit a jumper with 18 seconds showing to make it a 31-20 game at the break.

Perez then canned a triple out of the locker room and Rybak hit a jumper to close the deficit to six in the first minute of the second half.

A Davis three-point play capped a 10-0 burst to close the gap to 31-28 with 18:19 remaining.

Meeks pushed the lead back out to five before back-to-back Rybak jumpers made it a one-point game with 16:43 on the clock.

Meeks hit another layup to momentarily push the advantage back to three but Rybak hit a jumper and Lindsey Nichols (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) hit a 3-pointer, capping a 19-4 rally to take the lead with 11:36 to play.

A Calla jumper 24 seconds later tied the game before Voith hit the first of two free throws to put Haverford in front for good with 10:37 remaining.

Voith added a 3-pointer and Rachel Baskin hit a second-chance layup to extend the lead to 43-37 with 8:56 remaining.

A single Davis free throw halted the charge before Victoria Sobocinski drilled a triple from the top of the arc for an eight-point lead with 7:33 on the clock.

A Rybak jumper put an end to a 5-minute, 27-second cold spell before she added another jumper with 4:31 on the clock to make it a 46-42 game.

Two Davis free throws trimmed the margin to two just 27 seconds later before Baskin and Shelby Taylor (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) traded baskets.

A Dominique Meeks layup with 2:08 to play set the final margin.

McDaniel missed its final six attempts from the floor while the defense held the Fords to just one field-goal attempt and a pair of missed front end of 1-and-1 free throws.

The Green Terror returns to action at Swartmore on Monday. Game time is 7 p.m.
