YORK, Pa. - McDaniel closed the first half on a 14-2 run to break open a 16-14 game en route to an 81-39 non-conference women's basketball victory at Penn State-York on Tuesday.

Freshman Shelby Taylor (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) led the Green Terror (2-2) with 20 points and 10 rebounds for her first collegiate double-double. Sophomore Lauren Ballenger (Silver Spring, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel) also reached double figures for the first time in her career with 10 points.

Lauren Riggleman paced three players in double figures for the Lions (0-4) with 11 points.

Trailing 12-10, Alyssa March (Fallston, Md./Fallston) and Stephanie Fish (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial) scored back-to-back baskets to put McDaniel on top for good.

Riggleman tied the game for the final time with 11:50 to play in the opening half before Ballenger hit a layup and Taylor stretched the lead to four with 6:56 showing.

With 5:13 to play, Riggleman once again made it a two-point game but Brittany Davis (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) hit a layup on the break to spark the 14-2 run to the intermission with 4:39 on the clock.

Lindsey Nichols (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) led the way during the run with five points.

An Emilee Bosley (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) 3-pointer with 15:29 remaining pushed the lead to 20 for the first time at 43-22.

Angela Sacco (Linwood, N.J./Holy Spirit) made it a 30-point lead with a jumper to stretch the lead to 58-28 with 9:17 showing.

The lead swelled to as large as 45 on two Taylor free throws with 33 seconds to play.

Allie Eader (Ijamsville, Md./Linganore) dished out five assists and added three steals.

Ballenger and Emma Wingerd (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) added six rebounds apiece as part of a 48-28 advantage on the glass.

Kirsten Webster (Mt. Airy, Md./Mt. Airy Christian Academy) nabbed four steals in her Green Terror debut as part of a 28-steal night.

In a night that featured a feast of turnovers - the first time a McDaniel game has had more than 60 combined turnovers since 2006 - the Green Terror forced 45 Penn State-York miscues.
