Sidney records four hits for record
Rachel Sidney rapped out four hits to give end her career with 184 for the Green Terror. Alvernia scored one run in the top of the seventh inning to notch a 6-5 win over McDaniel and force the if-necessary game and then recorded a 2-0 win in that contest to claim the ECAC championship.

Liebowitz records five knocks in 2-0 day
Jackie Liebowitz led the offense for McDaniel, rapping out five hits that included a 3-for-3 showing against Alvernia. The Green Terror defeated the Crusaders 6-1 before topping Misericordia 4-0 to go 2-0 on the first day of the ECAC South tournament.

Brehm fans 16 in first-round win
Caroline Brehm struck out 16 batters and allowed just three base runners to lead the Green Terror. McDaniel took advantage of two third-inning innings to score a pair of runs en route to a 3-0 win over Cabrini.

Weather forces postponement
Due to the afternoon rain and forecast for afternoon thunderstorms, McDaniel has announced that its ECAC South tournament first-round softball game against Cabrini has been postponed to Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Three earn All-CC softball honors
Three members of the McDaniel softball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference team. Caroline Brehm was named the conference’s Pitcher of the Year. Rachel Sidney joined Brehm on the first team while Emily Sneeringer earned second-team accolades.

McDaniel to host ECAC first-round game
McDaniel will host a 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference South Region softball championship tournament first-round game on Wednesday. The second-seeded Green Terror will take on seventh-seeded Cabrini on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

Caroline Brehm recorded 11 strikeouts to lead the Green Terror. Trailing 1-0, Muhlenberg plated a pair of runs on a Kelly Kline single in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 2-1 win.

Kipe has four hits in day one split
Olivia Kipe finished with four hits on the day, including the game-winning hit to keep McDaniel alive in the Centennial Conference softball tournament. The Green Terror fell 5-1 to Haverford in tournament opener before defeating Washington (Md.), 2-1.

McDaniel to battle for CC title
McDaniel will travel to Allentown, Pa., for the 2014 Centennial Conference softball championship tournament, to be held on Saturday and Sunday. The third-seeded Green Terror will take on second-seeded Haverford in Saturday’s first first-round game at 10 a.m.

Rachel Sidney recorded two hits in each game to lead the Green Terror. McDaniel took a 5-1 victory in game one to claim a conference tournament berth before Washington (Md.) scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to forge a doubleheader split with a 5-4 win.

Caroline Brehm worked the final 1 2/3 innings of the opener, recording three strikeouts to notch her 1,000th career strikeout. The Green Terror dropped a 5-4 decision to the Spartans in game one before turning the tables and winning the nightcap, 6-0.

Maring records three hits, five RBIs in sweep
Stephanie Maring led McDaniel offensively with three hits and five RBIs, including a three-run home run in game two. McDaniel rallied in game two to complete a doubleheader sweep of Stevenson. The Green Terror took the opener 4-0 before completing the sweep, 9-6.

Rachel Sidney and Stephanie Maring led McDaniel offensively with three hits apiece in the twinbill. It took extra innings in both games to decide a doubleheader between McDaniel and Haverford. The Green Terror took the opener 3-2 in nine innings before the Fords returned the favor with a 3-1, 10-inning victory in the nightcap.

Maring records five hits, RBIs in sweep
Stephanie Maring led McDaniel offensive with five hits and five RBIs while Rachel Sidney added five hits and four runs scored. For the second straight day, McDaniel allowed just one run to record a sweep, taking two games (5-1 and 5-) at Ursinus.

Amy Baumgardner led the Green Terror in the nightcap with a 3-for-3 game, adding two RBIs and two runs scored. After taking game one 3-0, McDaniel strung together an eight-run fourth inning to finish a doubleheader sweep of Gettysburg with a 10-1 victory in five innings.

Rachel Sidney led McDaniel with four hits, including two in the finale. McDaniel salvaged its final day of the trip, defeating Carleton 4-0 to cap its trip. The Green Terror opened the day with a 1-0 loss to Keene State before falling 7-2 to Plymouth State.

Sam Stitely went 4-for-4 to lead the Green Terror, including the game-winning, pinch-hit single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. McDaniel opened its spring trip with a 10-2, six-inning victory over Western New England before needing nine innings to defeat Ramapo, 5-4.

Taylor Fletcher went 6-for-6 with 10 RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Green Terror, who took game one 10-0 before tallying a 17-2 victory in the nightcap. McDaniel rapped out 29 hits and scored 27 runs in a pair of five-inning victories to open the season at Gallaudet.
