Alvernia scored one run in the top of the seventh inning to notch a 6-5 win over McDaniel and force the if-necessary game and then recorded a 2-0 win in that contest to claim the ECAC championship.

    Liebowitz records five knocks in 2-0 day Jackie Liebowitz led the offense for McDaniel, rapping out five hits that included a 3-for-3 showing against Alvernia. The Green Terror defeated the Crusaders 6-1 before topping Misericordia 4-0 to go 2-0 on the first day of the ECAC South tournament.

It took extra innings in both games to decide a doubleheader between McDaniel and Haverford. The Green Terror took the opener 3-2 in nine innings before the Fords returned the favor with a 3-1, 10-inning victory in the nightcap.
