    Two earn All-CC softball honors Two members of the McDaniel softball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference team. Caroline Brehm was named the conference’s Pitcher of the Year and earned a first-team nod while Jackie Liebowitz was tabbed honorable mention.

    McDaniel to host ECAC first-round game McDaniel will host a 2013 ECAC South Region softball championship tournament first-round game on Wednesday in Westminster, Md. The third-seeded Green Terror (23-17) will take on sixth-seeded Stevenson (22-21) on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

    Mertz goes 2-for-2 Laura Mertz led the Green Terror with two hits in the nightcap. Messiah held McDaniel without a run to record a doubleheader sweep. The Falcons took the opener 13-0 in five innings before completing the sweep 9-0 in six innings.

For the second time this week, the Green Terror needed eight innings to defeat Otterbein, doing it 3-2 this time. In game two, Augsburg forged a split over the two days with two runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 3-2 win.
