Jim Heilman finished 40th to lead McDaniel at the Navy Invitational. The Green Terror finished sixth as the only Division III team in the field of seven.

Heilman runs to win in 5K race
Jim Heilman won the 5,000-meter race to lead McDaniel to a victory at its own Green Terror Challenge. The Green Terror posted 19 points in the 5,000-meter race and was the only team to run complete in the 3,000-meter event.

Heilman finishes fifth in opener
Jim Heilman finished fifth to lead McDaniel at a tri-match with Stevenson and Johns Hopkins. Heilman turned in a course PR on the 4,000-meter Stevenson course, finishing in a time of 12:52.77 to lead the Green Terror to a third-place showing.

Jones’ victory leads way to third straight win
Chris Jones crossed the line first to lead McDaniel to the team title at the Mustang Twilight Tune Up. As a team, the Green Terror had the first four runners cross the line to finish with 17 points and earn its third straight victory as a team.

Merkel’s fourth leads way to team title
Peter Merkel finished fourth to lead McDaniel to its second team title in as many weeks, winning the Hornet Harrier. The Green Terror notched five of the top 12 finishers to finish with 40 points.

Peter Merkel finished second to lead McDaniel to the team title at the Penn State-Harrisburg Invitational. As a team, the Green Terror took home five of the top six spots but finished with a perfect score of 15.

Peter Merkel finished 42nd to lead McDaniel at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational. Running in just the 4,000-meter race, the Green Terror finished 14th among the 35 teams that competed in the race.
