McDaniel finished eighth with 250 points.

THE LEADERS
Gavin Gibson (Newark, Del./Sanford) crossed the line 40th overall with a time of 27:26.6.

FOR THE FOES
Eric Herrmann won the individual title with a time of 25:13.5.5.
• Haverford captured the team championship with 34 points, edging Johns Hopkins by one point.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Shaun Thompson (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) placed 56th overall with a time of 28:22.1.
Stephen Porembski (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) crossed 85th with a time of 30:28.7.
Michael Gallagher (Elko, Nev./Elko) finished 90th with a time of 30:55.8.
Cyrus Daroowalla (Westminster, Md./Westminster) was 92nd overall with a time of 31:00.6.
Miky Kisi (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) finished 96th with a time of 31:51.7.
Kai Samuels (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) was 99th with a time of 32:50.1.

THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 99 runners competed at the 8,000-meter distance.
• Gibson turned in the No. 5 all-time Green Terror time on the Haverford course.
Shaun Thompson's time ranks ninth all-time on the course for McDaniel.
Stephen Porembski ranks 18th all-time on the course. It was his collegiate-best 8,000-meter time.
