Three athletes PR at Last Chance

McDaniel competes at Swarthmore Last Chance

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Three McDaniel athletes competed in four events for McDaniel at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet in men's outdoor track and field action on Monday.

CJ Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll), Kevin Bowman (Westminster, Md./Brunswick) and Carlos Hernandez (Derwood, Md./Magruder) all hit new personal bests in one event apiece.

Bowman finished 50th in the 75-person 1,500-meter race but was the 12th Division III runner across the line with a time of 4:01.95 – the third-fastest performer in program history.

Naper followed Bowman across the line with a time of 4:01.98.

Hernandez competed in three throwing events, hurling a personal-best throw of 29.54 meters in the javelin to finish 12th. He was ninth in the both the discus (33.31) and shot put (11.01).
