WESTMINSTER, Md. – Dickinson won all three doubles matches as part of an 8-1 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis action on Tuesday.
Aiden Finnerty (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) led the Green Terror (3-11, 0-6 CC) with a straight-set win at sixth singles. He took the first set 7-6 after winning the tiebreaker, 7-4. He capped the victory with a 6-2 victory in the second set.
Samuel Loring led the Red Devils (2-8, 1-4 CC) with a pair of victories that included a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles. He and Shawn Diniz teamed at first doubles to win, 8-1. Diniz capped his 2-0 day with a straight-set win at first singles that included another second set that went to a tiebreaker. After winning the opening set 6-3, he needed a 7-2 win in the tiebreak to take the 7-6 victory.
The Green Terror returns to action at Ursinus on Saturday. Match time is 1 p.m.
