Glocker, Kendrick start strong

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Swarthmore dropped just two games in singles play to key a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis action on Sunday.

Corey Glocker (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) and Andrew Kendrick (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) led the Green Terror (2-9, 0-4 CC) at No. 1 doubles, falling 8-2 to Evan Han and Yosuke Higashi.

Higashi led the 37th-ranked Garnet (5-9, 3-0 CC) as one of four players to win 6-0, 6-0 in singles play. He did so at No. 2 singles. Kevin Xu, William Teoh and James Hahn matched him in the third, fourth and fifth slots, respectively.

The Green Terror returns to action at Johns Hopkins on Wednesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
