Salomon wins fifth singles

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Gettysburg took five out of six singles to clinch a 7-2 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis action on Saturday.

Ryan Salomon (Bethesda, Md./The Siena) led the Green Terror (2-15, 0-9 CC) with a 6-1, 6-1 win at fifth singles.

Mike Pratt and Scott Johnson paced the Bullets (3-12, 1-8 CC), recording two-win outings that included teaming for an 8-2 win at second doubles.

Pratt took third singles 6-3, 6-1 while Johnson won in the fourth slot by identical scores.

Brian Kron (Upperco, Md./North Carroll) and Seth McFall (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) added an 8-3 win at first doubles for McDaniel.

Kyle Shope and James Salierno gave Gettysburg a 2-1 advantage after doubles, taking No. 3 by an 8-4 margin.
