Kron wins at second singles

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall swept doubles play en route to an 8-1 Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis victory over McDaniel on Saturday.

Brian Kron (Upperco, Md./North Carroll) took the lone match for the Green Terror (5-4, 0-3 CC) with a three-set victory at second singles. Kron took the first set 6-4 before Alec Tunner prevailed in tiebreaker 7-5 to win the second set, 7-6. Kron then took the super-tiebreaker third set, 10-8.

William MacArthur led the Diplomats (4-4, 3-0 CC) as the squad's only double winner. He teamed with Ross Silverberg for an 8-1 win at first doubles before winning at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Tommy Weibye and Nolan Bacchieri took second doubles 8-1 while Cameron Relic and Peter Bookman won at No. 3 doubles, 8-2.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Haverford on Sunday. Match time is 12 p.m.
