McDaniel sweeps Goucher

Green Terror closes out fall schedule with 9-0 win

TOWSON, Md. – Brian Kron (Upperco, Md./North Carroll) did not lose a game in a double-win day to lead McDaniel to a 9-0 win over Goucher in non-conference men's tennis action on Friday.

Kron teamed with Matthew Langsdale (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) for an 8-0 win at third doubles for the Green Terror (1-1) before taking his fourth singles match, 6-0, 6-0.

Ben Faber (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga) and Chad Palman (Montgomery Village, Md./Gaithersburg) teamed for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles.

Both also won their singles matches in straight set to help with the blanking of the Gophers (0-2) in the team's final action of the fall.

Faber was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 1 singles while Palman won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5.

Justin Ward (Sykesville, Md./Century) and Steve French (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) added two-win days, partnering for an 8-3 win at second doubles. Ward won at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-1) while French was victorious at No. 3 (6-2, 6-4).

The Green Terror opens the spring at Chowan on Mar. 12. Match time is 1 p.m.
