Brooks wins three times

TOWSON, Md. – Towson won 11 of the 14 swimming events to defeat McDaniel 196-70 in non-conference men's swimming action on Saturday.

Brad Brooks (Newark, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) won three times to lead the Green Terror (0-5), against the Division I foe.

Brooks won both distance races, touching first in the 1000 (9:33.82) and 500 (4:42.44) freestyles as well as the 200 butterfly (2:01.52). He won the 1000 by five seconds and the 500 by 10 seconds.

Noah Pritchard, Joel Todd, Justin Harvey and Jon Burr each won twice to lead the Tigers (8-1). Pritchard won the 100 (53.50) and 200 (1:56.21) backstroke while Todd touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.28) and 200 IM (2:04.20).

Patrick Rogers (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) finished fourth in the 50 free with a time of 23.39 and the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:11.19.

Sean Kaliszak (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) placed third in the 500 free (5:27.55) while Stevie Hoyt (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) was second in the 100 butterfly (54.98). Hoyt was also fourth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.45.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Hood on Saturday, Dec. 7. Meet time is 2 p.m.
