THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel tallied two goals in a 1-minute, 27-second span to open up a lead before 10 minutes had elapsed and top Goucher, 2-0.

THE LEADERS
Jacob Wells (Hanover, Pa./South Western) scored a goal in the eighth minute.
Aaron Bilbie (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) made five saves, including four in the second half.

FOR THE FOES
• Daniel Hendry made three saves for the Gophers.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Drake Pew (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) played a ball through that Khaled Abuhantash (Mililani, Hawaii/North Harford [Md.]) one-touched to the right and Jacob Wells was able to finish for a 1-0 just 7:15 into the game.
• On a ball played into the box by Randy Hilleary (Bonney Lake, Wash./Skyline), a Gopher played a ball back that popped off the keeper's knee and into the back of the net to make it 2-0.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Goucher finished with a 9-6 advantage in shots, including controlling play in the second half with an 8-1 advantage in shots.
• The Gophers also held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
Drake Pew, the reigning CC Player of the Week who entered the game with four goals, notched his first assist of the year.
