Byerly takes two shots

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall scored three first-half goals en route to a 5-0 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Saturday.

Dominic Byerly (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) led the Green Terror (8-6-2, 2-6-1 CC) with a pair of shots.

Alex Lalovic led the Diplomats (9-5-2, 7-1-1 CC) with two goals.

Cole Niggeman staked the hosts to a 1-0 lead just 3:09 into the game, firing from the top of the box into the bottom-right corner.

Lalovic doubled the advantage off a corner in the 39th minute before J.T. Morgan put back his own rebound just a minute and a half later.

Zach Colton blasted a free kick from 40 yards out into the back of the net for a 4-0 lead in the 59th minute before Lalovic headed home a throw-in in the final 10 minutes.

Franklin & Marshall finished with an 18-6 advantage in shots and 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.

McDaniel will now wait to see if it receives an ECAC berth. The field will be announced on Monday, Nov. 6.
