Over makes four saves in scoreless draw

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – McDaniel and Ursinus battled to a scoreless draw in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Saturday.

Nick Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made four saves for the Green Terror (5-7-3, 0-5-2 CC) for the team's fourth shutout of the season.

Vince Maiorino made six saves for the Bears (4-9-1, 0-6-1 CC) at the other end.

McDaniel had the better opportunities in the final 10 minutes, putting three shots on frame but Maiorino made half of his saves in the period.

The best scoring chance came in the first minute of the second half when Pat Palin (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) hit the crossbar.

Ursinus finished the game with a 14-8 advantage in shots, however, while each team took three corner kicks.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Johns Hopkins on Wednesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
