HAVERFORD, Pa. – A first-half Haverford goal proved to be the difference in a 2-1 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Saturday.

Shane McCracken (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) scored for the Green Terror (5-1-1, 0-1 CC), breaking up the shutout in the 64th minute.

Sam Yarosh staked the Fords (5-1, 1-0 CC) to a 1-0 halftime lead, scoring off a Colin Lubelczyk assist at the 31:17 mark.

That lead held until Ford Bohrmann gathered a rebound off a blocked shot and fired the ball into the right corner for a 2-0 advantage in the 57th minute.

McCracken fired home his team-leading ninth tally from 30 yards out at the 63:25 mark.

Haverford finished with an 11-7 advantage in shots.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Penn State-Harrisburg on Tuesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
