McDaniel in regional rankings

WESTMINSTER, Md. – The second regional rankings have been released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and McDaniel is among the teams ranked in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

As of the latest NSCAA/Continental Tire rankings, which were released on Tuesday, the Green Terror (5-0) was 10th in the region after a 4-0 start to the season. The squad is one of six Centennial Conference teams ranked in the top 10.

McDaniel defeated Hood 3-1 on Tuesday to improve to 5-0 for its best start to a season since 1956.

Shane McCracken (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) leads the Green Terror offense so far this season with eight goals and 19 points. Luis Calderon (Silver Spring, Md./Bullis) has added three goals and three assists to rank second on the team with nine points.

Zach Nibbelink (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) has a 0.84 goals-against average and .789 save percentage with two shutouts to lead the defense.

McDaniel returns to action at Bridgewater on Tuesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
