WESTMINSTER, Md. – Gettysburg scored a pair of second-half goals to defeat McDaniel 2-1 in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Tuesday.

Shane McCracken (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) scored in the 35th minute to stake the Green Terror (4-11-2, 1-8 CC) to a 1-0 halftime advantage.

Daven Geiman broke a 1-all deadlock with 2:49 to play, sending the Bullets (7-8-1, 4-4-1 CC) to victory in the finale for both teams.

Andrew McLane played a ball wide to Gerard Sager, who deflected the ball off a defender and into the far side of the net to tie the game in the 56th minute.

In the 88th minute, Geiman collected the rebound off his own shot-and-save and punched the ball over most of the defense. A McDaniel defender made a jumping effort to keep the ball out but it bounced backwards into the net for a 2-1 lead.

Michael McClain (Takoma Park, Md./Montgomery Blair) took the ball on a breakaway down the right sideline and played McCracken, who hit from short range.

Zach Nibbelink (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) made eight saves for McDaniel while Connor Darrell had six stops for Gettysburg.

The Bullets finished with a slim 19-18 advantages in shots.
