Nibbelink makes seven saves

WESTMINSTER, Md. – No. 14 Swarthmore scored a goal in each half to defeat McDaniel 2-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Saturday.

Zach Nibbelink (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) made seven saves for the Green Terror (2-6-1, 0-4 CC) in goal.

David D'Annunzio had two stops at the other end for the Garnet (7-2, 3-1 CC), who finished with a 21-9 advantage in shots.

Jack Momeyer registered an unassisted marker in the 15th minute.

That's where the score remained until Micah Rose was awarded and converted a penalty kick at the 67:20 mark.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Frostburg on Wednesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
