WESTMINSTER, Md. – Mary Washington scored the final three goals for a 12-7 victory over McDaniel in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday.

Patrick Serio (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) led the Green Terror (0-1) with three goals in the season opener.

Luke Dick netted four goals and added two assists for the Eagles (3-0), who also got four goals and an assist from Billy Kelly.

Clinging to a 9-7 lead after Serio finished his hat trick with 6:30 to play in the contest, Billy Kelly scored off a John Bohlinger feed with 3:35 showing to stretch the lead to three.

Joey Marson finished a solo run 55 seconds later before Kelly converted from Dick in a man-up situation with 15 ticks left for the final margin.

Bohlinger and Zach Monzo (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) traded goals in the game's first 5:52 before Kelly finished from Dick to give the visitors a 2-1 edge with 6:29 to play in the opening stanza.

Dick and Griffin Burke pushed the lead to 4-1 with 9:38 showing in the second quarter, scoring 2 minutes, 8 seconds apart.

Sean Brett (Hamilton, N.J./Notre Dame) made it a 4-2 game at the break, scoring with 7:17 to play in the first half.

Serio finished a Jason Lawrence (Fallston, Md./Fallston) feed 47 seconds into the third quarter to make it a one-goal game but back-to-back Dick scores and a Jared Krikorian solo run stretched the lead to 7-3 with 7:37 to play.

Pat Bivons (Cockeysville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) found Serio to trim the margin to three after three quarters before Dick pushed the lead back to four 1:57 into the final period.

Timothy McNichol (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) finished a solo run and Matt Dupras (Hillsborough, N.J./Immaculata) added a man-up tally to trim the margin to 8-6 before Kelly and Serio traded goals 13 seconds apart.

Zach Bicho (Millstone, N.J./The Hun School of Princeton) won 10 of 12 faceoffs for the Green Terror, who won 16 of 22 as a team. Christian Dallmus (Acton, Mass./The Rivers School) made 15 saves in net.

McDaniel returns to action at No. 5 Salisbury on Wednesday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
