Centennial Conference Lacrosse Event coming

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Centennial Conference will kick off the 2013 lacrosse seasons with an innovative multimedia event on Thursday and Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. both days.

The women's opening draw event will be held on Thursday, featuring McDaniel head coach Muffie Bliss at approximately 11:10 a.m.

The men's faceoff event is one day later on Frdiay, featuring Green Terror head coach Matt Hatton at approximately 11:30 a.m.

The multimedia event will replace the traditional coaches' press conference, with each of the head coaches discussing their prospectus for the upcoming year via an interactive video conference using Google+ Hangouts On-Air.

Coaches will each have five-minute blocks fielding questions from both the moderator and viewers.

Viewers can watch the women's event by clicking HERE. The link will go live at 10:55 a.m. on Thursday, February 7.

Viewers can watch the men's event by clicking HERE. The link will go live at 10:55 a.m. on Friday, February 8.

Have a question for your favorite coach? Post them to the Centennial Conference Facebook page or tweet them using the hashtag #CCDraw13 (women) and #CCFaceOff13 (men). Then watch the stream to see if your question is selected!

McDaniel fans can get a preview of the coaches' thoughts by tuning in at halftime of the McDaniel-Johns Hopkins basketball doubleheader on WTTR (and wttr.com). Play-by-play man Tim Murray has an interview with Coach Bliss during the women's game and Coach Hatton during the men's game.

The Green Terror women, who finished the 2012 season at 6-11 overall, open the season at home against Elizabethtown on Feb. 23. Game time is 1 p.m.

The McDaniel men, who went 11-7 overall in 2012 and won the ECAC Mid-Atlantic championship, open the campaign at Eastern on Feb. 20. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
