Three earn All-CC men’s lacrosse honors
LANCASTER, Pa. – Three members of the McDaniel men's lacrosse team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Thursday.
DJ Rickels (Forest Hill, Md./Boys Latin School of Maryland) and Nick Sicuranza (Sevens Valley, Pa./Dallastown) earned first-team honors while JS Duke (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) was tabbed as an honorable mention.
Rickels, a senior attacker, is making his third all-conference appearance after being named a first-team selection in 2010 and second-team selection in 2011. In 2012, Rickels leads the team and ranks third in the CC with 32 goals. He also added four assists and is second on the team with 36 points. He has picked up 31 ground balls while starting all 16 games.
Sicuranza, a senior defender, earned his first all-conference nod. He leads the defense with 28 caused turnovers and has also picked up 32 ground balls, starting all 16 games.
Duke, a senior attacker, is making his first All-CC appearance. He currently leads the team and ranks seventh in the conference with 18 assists. He is second on the team with 19 goals and leads the squad with 37 points. He has started 13 of his 15 appearances and has 25 ground balls to his credit.
The Green Terror (9-7, 5-3 CC) returns to action in the ECAC semifinals against Morrisville on Saturday. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
