Two members of the McDaniel men’s golf team have been named to the Division III PING all-region team. James Lillie, a sophomore, made his second straight appearance on the All-Mid-Atlantic team while Cody Mewhirter, a sophomore, earned his first regional honor.

James Lillie carded McDaniel’s lowest round at the NCAA championship, posting a round of 74 in the second round at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. The Green Terror posted a round of 311 to make it a 36-hole total of 638 and finish tied for 28th overall.

A McDaniel golfer fired the low round each day. A McDaniel golfer held the individual lead after 18 holes. After 36 holes. And, most importantly, after 54 holes. That work translated into the program’s seventh Centennial Conference championship.
