Bowman wins third straight

MOUNTAINTOP, Pa. – Greg Bowman (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) needed to go to the third handicap hole on the match of cards but prevailed to win his third straight tournament and lead McDaniel to a second-place finish at the Dickinson Invitational at Blue Ridge Golf Club in men's golf action on Wednesday.

The senior carded a 74 in the 18 holes of regulation to lead the Green Terror, who matched Franklin & Marshall with a round of 308 but lost on the fifth-score tiebreaker.

Bowman outdueled the Diplomats' Brendan Mohler and the Red Devils' Arthur Worthington on the course in which the Centennial Conference championship will be held on Apr. 27-29.

Logan Connaughton (Matawan, N.J./Matawan Regional) and Dominic Seelig (Reading, Pa./Exeter Twp.) each carded rounds of 77 to finish tied for ninth.

Cody Mewhirter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) posted a round of 80 while Kyle Chittim (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) turned in a round of 83.

James Lillie (Garret Park, Md./Walter Johnson) posted a round of 76 to finish tied for fourth overall, playing as an individual

The Green Terror returns to action at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday.
