Graves joins the Green Terror staff for the 2013-14 season.
Graves comes to McDaniel after earning his masters of business studies at the University of Ulster in Belfast, UK. He went there on the Victory Scholarship Program, which assists deserving students from the United States in obtaining a scholarship package to study at Masters level throughout Ireland. Victory Scholars can continue involvement in sport, work in the wider community with young people and gain invaluable work experience, which can benefit them throughout their career.
While there, he was a player and captain for the University of Ulster’s University team as well as the Ulster Elks Basketball Club National League team, while also representing Northern Ireland in the British University Games.
He also served as the Ulster Elkes head basketball coach for the Premier League men's team and the Under 13 and Under 14 Ulster Elks girls' team.
Graves played his undergraduate basketball at Belmont Abbey.
He was a Deans' List selection and member of the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll. He served as vice-president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Graves has worked with numerous camps, including the Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp, Yes-I-Can Basketball Incorporated and the Lou Wilson Basketball Camp.
Graves graduated from Belmont Abbey in May 2012 with a bachelor of arts in business administration, finishing with a GPA of 3.83.
