THE LEADERS
Aaron Washington (Washington, D.C./Montrose Christian) led the Green Terror with 22 points.
DJ Harper (Bowie, Md./Riverdale Baptist) added 12 points and five rebounds.
Isaac Ray (Fredericksburg, Pa./Northern Lebanon) chipped in nine points and six rebounds.

FOR THE FOES
• Nate Henty Brown led the Mules with 21 points and seven rebounds.
• Dan Gaines added 17 points and seven assists.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• The teams traded points early until a Mike Wallace (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) 3-pointer and Josh Arruda (Morrisville, Pa./Pennsbury) layup gave McDaniel a 12-7 lead with 13:52 showing. After three ties and three lead changes over the next six minutes, back-to-back layups from Spencer Duke and Erik Werheim gave Muhlenberg a 24-20 advantage with 5:37 remaining in the first half. An Aaron Washington 3-pointer trimmed the deficit to one but Noah Watson responded with a trey of his own. Two Nate Henty Brown 3-pointers capped an 11-4 Mule run that gave the hosts a 35-27 lead. Tony Tavares (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Huntingtown) finished the first half with a jumper, closing the margin to six at the break.
• After the teams traded baskets early in the second half, Watson hit a layup with 14:59 showing to spark an 8-0 run that turned a nine-point advantage into a 53-36 lead just 1:18 later. Three straight 3-pointers from Washington and a fourth triple from Isaac Ray, however, quickly sliced the deficit to 53-48 just four minutes later.
• A DJ Harper layup and tip-in from Arruda tied the game at 60-all with 5:34 to play. Dan Gaines, however, hit layups on the next two Muhlenberg possessions to put the hosts back in front. After a Gaines 3-pointer made it a 67-62 game with 1:34 to play, Washington nailed a jumper with 22.4 seconds remaining to make it a one-possession game. Hentry Brown and Gaines, however, canned two free throws each around a Washington driving layup for the final margin.

THE INSIDE STORY
• The Green Terror hit 13 3-pointers in the game for their seventh game of the year with 11 or more triples. Washington had six of those 3-pointers.
