LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall scored four times in a 6-minute, 10-second span to break open a 1-0 game and defeat McDaniel 5-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey action on Saturday.

Caila White (Delmar, Md./Delmar) made five saves for the Green Terror (8-9, 3-7 CC) without allowing a goal in 19 minutes of action in goal.

Maria Guarisco finished with two goals and two assists for the sixth-ranked Diplomats (16-1, 10-0 CC), who wrapped up an undefeated conference slate in advance of hosting next weekend's CC tournament.

Guarisco deflected in a Katie Cecere pass from the right side to stake Franklin & Marshall to a 1-0 lead 24:01 into the game.

The lead remained there until Meghan Barlow started the four-goal flurry off a Guarisco pass from the top of the arc at the 44:22 mark.

Guarisco found Audrey Buckman 2:32 later before scoring her second unassisted from five feet out just 44 seconds after that.

A Barlow unassisted tally capped the flurry, scoring on the doorstep in the 51st minute.

The Diplomats finished with a 23-7 advantage in shots.
