BALTIMORE, Md. - Johns Hopkins scored a goal in each half to defeat McDaniel 2-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey on Tuesday.
Caila White (Delmar, Md./Delmar) led the Green Terror (8-7, 3-5 CC) with five saves.
Shannon Park had two assists to pace the Blue Jays (7-8, 5-4 CC) to a key conference victory, keeping them in a playoff position with just one game to play.
In a first half of few chances, Alexa Lantiere took a pass from Parker on the right end line and swiped it through a diving defense for a 1-0 lead with 1:57 to play in the stanza.
In the 62nd minute, Parker found Liz Stillman in front of the cage to double the lead.
Danielle DeColli (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) took four of McDaniel's 12 shots in the game.
Johns Hopkins also finished with 12 shots while holding a 9-7 edge in corners. Zoey Atabek made 10 saves.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Washington (Md.) on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
