Bach scores both in 2-1 McDaniel win

HARRISONBURG, Va. – McDaniel broke a 1-all deadlock early in the second half and the defense held off Eastern Mennonite for a 2-1 non-conference field hockey victory on Saturday.

Sarah Bach (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) scored both goals for the Green Terror (6-5), including breaking the tie 4:21 into the second half.

Camille Williams tallied the lone goal for the Royals (2-9), tying the game off a Melissa Cox assist at the 15:38 mark.

Bach finished from Allie Miller (East Berlin, Pa./Bermudian Spring) just 9:54 into the game to stake McDaniel to a 1-0 lead.

Bach then scored off a Haley VanNostrand (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) assist on a corner in the 40th minute.

The Green Terror finished with a 17-9 advantage in shots and 10-7 edge in penalty corners.

McDaniel returns to action at Swarthmore on Saturday. Game time is 12 p.m.
