Little registers one and one

CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson scored three times in a 5-minute, 9-second span to defeat McDaniel 3-2 in Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey action on Wednesday.

Julie Little (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) had a hand in both goals for the Green Terror (4-5, 1-3 CC), recording a goal and an assist.

Catherine Perlmutter scored two of the three goals for the Red Devils (7-2, 4-0 CC), who finished the game with a 30-12 advantage in shots.

Despite Dickinson holding a 17-6 advantage in shots in the first half, it was McDaniel that took a 1-0 lead into the locker room. In the 14th minute, Bayley Vohs (Millerstown, Pa./Greenwood) found Little, who hit the backboard for a 1-0 lead.

Out of the break, though, the Red Devils countered. On a penalty corner, Perlmutter finished off a Natalie Polk insert and Kendal Packo stick stop just 6:12 after the intermission.

Just 3:48 later, Caroline Karwel finished a penalty stroke to break the 1-all deadlock.

Perlmutter needed just another 1:21 to find the backboard again, finishing from Packo.

Danielle DeColli (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) drew the visitors within one with 90 seconds to play off a Little assist.

Vicci Alexander (Annapolis, Md./Archbishop Spalding) made seven saves for McDaniel.

The Green Terror returns to action at Roanoke on Friday. Game time is 5 p.m.
