Alexander named Player of the Week
LANCASTER, Pa. – Vicci Alexander (Annapolis, Md./Archbishop Spalding), a junior on the McDaniel field hockey team, has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 8-14.
It marks the second straight week she has heard the honor.
Alexander led the Green Terror (8-5, 3-3 CC) to a 2-0 week, improving to 4-0 in four starts in goal. She made 15 saves in a critical 3-1 CC win over Swarthmore on Saturday. She was also in goal for a 7-1 victory over Washington and Lee on Thursday. For the week, she had a 1.00 goals-against average and .882 save percentage.
For the season, she has a 0.68 goals-against average and .912 save percentage in 308 minutes between the pipes.
The Green Terror returns to action at Gettysburg on Tuesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
