Andre Henry Jr. hauled in four catches for 50 yards but none were bigger for the Green Terror than his final – a 25-yard touchdown grab in the back of the end zone in overtime. McDaniel built a 20-6 lead but then needed an overtime touchdown to defeat Gettysburg, 27-20.
Will Koester threw for 289 yards, completing 20 of 28 passes with two touchdowns to lead the Green Terror. McDaniel racked up more than 500 yards of total offense and shut out Moravian for the final three quarters in a 35-14 victory.
Perry Steffanelli led the offensive charge for the Green Terror with 146 yards rushing and a touchdown. McDaniel’s offense ran for 317 yards and the defense held Catholic to no first downs and just 22 yards in the second half of a 30-10 season-opening victory.
Three members of the McDaniel football team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference team. Claude Richardson was named to the second team while Paul Flagg and Perry Stefanelli were tabbed honorable mention.
Ben Kahn led the Green Terror with 12 tackles. Matt Cathey had a pair of touchdown, scoring on a 10-yard run and returning one of two blocked punts six yards for a score. Johns Hopkins built a 41-7 halftime en route to a 48-28 victory over McDaniel.
