Saterfield joined the Green Terror staff in 2017 to coach the defensive line. 

Before arriving at McDaniel, Saterfield was a special education teacher and defensive line coach in Florida. 

Saterfield played defensive tackle at the University of Louisville from 2000-03, where he was a force up front. He had 50 tackles and made 16 starts over his final two seasons in a Cardinal uniform.

Saterfield played in the Indoor Football League from 2006-11 in Sioux Falls Storm in South Dakota and Wyoming Calvary.

He returned to Louisville to finish his degree and graduated in 2015 with a bachelor of science in organizational leadership.
