Martin named Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. – Zach Martin (Clarksville, Md./River Hill), a senior on the McDaniel football team, has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Special Team Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 19-20.

Martin had a banner day on special teams, recovering a pair of blocked punts. In the second quarter, he recovered a Tim Jarosinski (Towson, Md./Towson) blocked punt to set up the team's second touchdown.

Late in the third quarter, Martin blocked a second Dickinson punt, catching the ball and returning it 18 yards for a touchdown. He finished the day with 12 total tackles and a sack between his play on defense and special teams.

The Green Terror (0-7, 0-6 CC) returns to action at Juniata on Saturday. Game time is 1:30 p.m.
