LANCASTER, Pa. – Joe Rollins (Temple Hills, Md./Surrattsville), a sophomore on the McDaniel football team, has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 3.

It marks the second time in his career that he has been named a conference player of the week. He was named offensive player of the week after a 294-yard day last year against Gettysburg.

On Saturday, he returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown as part of his 120 kick returns yards in the game. The 120 yards was part of a bigger day for the starting running back, who racked up 292 all-purpose yards.

Offensively, he contributed 159 yards and a touchdown rushing and 13 yards on three receptions in the 39-36 loss to Catholic.

The Green Terror (0-1) returns to action at home against Moravian on Saturday. Game time is 2 p.m.
